CAREonsite, a division of Tang & Company which provides occupational medical services nationwide, has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Medical Assistant (MA) with strong clinical, computer and multi-tasking skills.
This may be a temp-to-hire position
Job requirements include but are not limited to the following:
- Scheduling appointments for medical surveillance exams, as well as injury follow up appointments.
- Making and answering phone calls, group text messages and email communication.
- Official email communication to employees, co-workers, and clients in a professional, consistent manner that aligns with compliance standards.
- Ability to use various technology platforms and applications to include Office365, MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Greeting and check-in patients, to include assigning patient to an exam room where applicable.
- May be requested to complete initial vital signs, and initiate injury/illness intake paperwork.
- Maintaining office supply inventory, and assisting Clinic Manager with medical supply inventory when needed.
- Performs daily exam room and stock inspection, ensure supplies are adequate for patient care.
- Performs basic lab tests and prepares specimens, administers medication and injections, performs blood draws, splinting, application of dressings.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to professional certification, patient confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA, treatment and safety guidelines.
- Performs other front and back-office duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) course from an accredited/recognized school
- Medical Assistant (MA) certificate consistent with requirements specified by the State Medical Board
- Current BCLS with AED certificates
- Clinical experience is a plus
