Exciting Opportunity for a Dynamic Medical Assistant (MA) at CareOnSite, a Division of Tang & Company!

CareOnSite, a distinguished division of Tang & Company, is thrilled to announce an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a strong clinical background, exceptional computer skills, and a flair for multitasking.

Position: Medical Assistant (MA)

Location: Torrance, CA

Type: Full Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 hours a day (8:00am -5:00pm with a 1 hr. lunch)

Pay: $21-$23/Hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vision exams
  • Performs daily exam room and stock inspection, ensure supplies are adequate for patient care
  • Assists attending medical provider during examinations and procedures
  • Perform clerical records maintenance - File employee doctor/LOA notes, workers compensation files, and status reports
  • Workers Compensation case monitoring - Reporting claims, providing state forms (DWC in CA, state pamphlets) to the employee; coordinating clinic evaluation
  • Coordination and tracking of Medical Surveillance Programs - Maintain the medical surveillance tracking database with the completed and upcoming evaluation dates
  • Administrative duties such as scheduling patients, answering the phone, maintaining patient charts, and supplies
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to professional certification, patient confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA, treatment and safety guidelines
  • Performs other front office duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) course from an accredited/recognized school. Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) with AED certificates. Clinical experience is a significant advantage, showcasing your commitment to excellence.
