Position: Medical Director - Occupational Medicine

Location: 3 days in The Woodlands, TX office, 2 days remote, and Occasional client site visits

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Role and Responsibilities: As the Medical Director at CAREonsite, you will spearhead the oversight of the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and injuries. Your dynamic role will encompass:

  • Providing strategic guidance under the direction of the CEO.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with onsite clinic providers and client leadership to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Developing, refining, and supervising occupational health programs across our clinics and client facilities.
  • Leading the supervision and management of mid-level practitioners (NPs/PAs) and nursing staff.
  • Serving as a medical point of reference for human resources, legal, and safety departments.
  • Conducting telephonic and virtual consultations to offer support to clients and staff.
  • Attaining certification as a Medical Review Officer (MRO) to interpret drug test results.
  • Conducting medical evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for work-related health concerns.
  • Ordering and meticulously reviewing tests and diagnostic findings to ensure precise diagnoses.

Qualifications: To excel in this pivotal role, you should possess:

  • A Doctor of Medicine (MD / DO) Degree from a U.S. accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years of clinical experience in Occupational Medicine, General Practice, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Proven expertise in supervision and administration (minimum of 2 years).
  • A current medical license to practice in the State of Texas.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in crafting medical documents, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Strong project management acumen.
  • A profound dedication to promoting occupational health and wellness.

Compensation: Pay Range: $120 - $130 per hour
