Senior Accounting Manager
Pay Range: $125,000 – $140,000

We’re looking for a Senior Accounting Manager who shares our values and drive for operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Controller, you’ll be a key leader within the Finance team, managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, mentoring a growing team, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Lead monthly and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain financial records in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, P&Ls, and cash flow reports.
- Provide in-depth account reconciliations and variance analysis.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team to foster high performance.
- Delegate responsibilities to ensure operational efficiency and accountability.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and continuous training within the department.
Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Serve as the primary liaison for external audits and ensure audit readiness.
- Coordinate tax compliance activities, including preparation of cash-basis returns and state/local filings.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
Budgeting & Financial Strategy
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Provide actionable financial insights and KPI tracking to guide strategic decisions.
- Partner with business units to identify and implement cost-saving and revenue-enhancing initiatives.
ERP & Process Improvement
- Play an active role in the development and optimization of the ERP system (Acumatica preferred).
- Drive process improvements across the finance function to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee expense reporting and credit card reconciliation systems and processes.
Stay Ahead of the Curve
- Remain up to date with evolving regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.
- Ensure the company remains compliant and positioned for continued financial strength.
Qualifications
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA preferred
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role strongly preferred
- Public accounting and/or healthcare industry experience a plus
- Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica or similar) highly desirable
Technical & Professional Skills
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
