Senior Accounting Manager
Pay Range: $125,000 – $140,000

We’re looking for a Senior Accounting Manager who shares our values and drive for operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Controller, you’ll be a key leader within the Finance team, managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, mentoring a growing team, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight & Reporting

• Lead monthly and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain financial records in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, P&Ls, and cash flow reports.
• Provide in-depth account reconciliations and variance analysis.

Team Leadership

• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team to foster high performance.
• Delegate responsibilities to ensure operational efficiency and accountability.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and continuous training within the department.

Audit, Compliance & Controls

• Serve as the primary liaison for external audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Coordinate tax compliance activities, including preparation of cash-basis returns and state/local filings.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.

Budgeting & Financial Strategy

• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Provide actionable financial insights and KPI tracking to guide strategic decisions.
• Partner with business units to identify and implement cost-saving and revenue-enhancing initiatives.

ERP & Process Improvement

• Play an active role in the development and optimization of the ERP system (Acumatica preferred).
• Drive process improvements across the finance function to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee expense reporting and credit card reconciliation systems and processes.

Stay Ahead of the Curve

• Remain up to date with evolving regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.
• Ensure the company remains compliant and positioned for continued financial strength.

Qualifications

Education & Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• CPA preferred

Experience

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 3+ years in a leadership or management role strongly preferred
• Public accounting and/or healthcare industry experience a plus
• Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica or similar) highly desirable
