ASAPcheck – Exceptional Opportunity for a Strategic Account Executive (Oil & Gas Sector)

Overview:
ASAPcheck, a division of Tang & Company that delivers industry-leading background screening and compliance solutions nationwide, is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Account Executive to focus on clients in the oil and gas sector—specifically owners, contractors, consortia, and industry alliances. This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-driven professional who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and has a strong understanding of strategic sales in regulated industries.


Position: Account Executive – Oil & Gas Sector
Location: Remote (preferred: California or Texas)
Travel: 10%–25%


Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and manage relationships with owners, contractors, consortia, joint ventures, and related stakeholders in the oil and gas industry.
  • Identify and engage emerging opportunities by working across multiple consortium member organizations
  • Lead consultative sales cycles by understanding client needs and creating tailored proposals aligned with regulatory and operational objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with customer success and operations teams to support onboarding, implementation, renewals, and long-term growth.
  • Monitor and respond to industry regulations, standards, and trends that impact client partnerships.
  • Represent ASAPcheck at industry conferences, consortium meetings, and collaborative forums.
  • Guide clients through RFPs, contract negotiations, and renewals with a focus on growth and performance.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible and complex professional sales or account management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in oil and gas, safety, background screening, or occupational health services is strongly preferred.
  • Proven success managing strategic accounts and exceeding revenue targets in high-growth environments.
  • Strong consultative and challenger sales skills with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
  • Advanced understanding of industry practices, trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and internal CRM tools.
  • Skilled in project management, planning, organization, and time management.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and escalation management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate cross-functionally in a remote environment.
