CAREonsite, a division of Tang & Company, provides occupational medical services nationwide. We are looking for a highly motivated Medical Assistant (MA) with strong clinical, computer, and multi-tasking skills to join our team.

As a CAREonsite Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting occupational health services, assisting medical providers, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. This position offers a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule & Pay:

  • Schedule: Temporary Full-Time Position (up to 6 months)

  • Pay Range: $21 - 22 / hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Medical Assistant at CAREonsite, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the health and safety of the employees we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vision exams
  • Performs daily exam room and stock inspection, ensuring supplies are adequate for patient care
  • Assists attending medical provider during examinations and procedures
  • Perform clerical records maintenance - File employee doctor/LOA notes, workers compensation files, and status reports
  • Workers Compensation case monitoring - Reporting claims, providing state forms (DWC in CA, state pamphlets) to the employee; coordinating clinic evaluation
  • Coordination and tracking of Medical Surveillance Programs - Maintain the medical surveillance tracking database with the completed and upcoming evaluation dates
  • Administrative duties such as scheduling patients, answering the phone, maintaining patient charts, and supplies
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to professional certification, patient confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA, treatment and safety guidelines
  • Performs other front office duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Clinical experience is a plus

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) course from an accredited/recognized school
  • Medical Assistant (MA) certificate consistent with requirements specified by the State Medical Board
  • Current BCLS with AED certificates
  • Clinical experience is a plus
